About Me

Born in Milan (Italy), 11/18/52. M.D. (University of Milan). Specialized in Medical Psychology (University of Milan). Full Professor of Social Psychology, Department of Cultural Heritage and Environment, University of Milan (Italy). His areas of research include optimal experience, the relationship between biological, cultural and psychological processes, environmental psychology, mental health and culture. He is author of three theoretical books (i.e.: Inghilleri P. (1999), From Subjective Experience to Cultural Change, Cambridge University Press, New York, editor of five volumes (i.e. Inghilleri, P., Riva, G., Riva E. (2015), Enabling Positive Change. Flow and Complexity in Daily Experience, De Gruyter, Berlin) and of more than 100 articles published on Italian and international Journals. He was consultant and scientific director of Italian Foreign Office and NGO’s cooperation projects in developing countries (Nicaragua, Thailandia, Somalia).
