Dr Jean Heutte is one of the french leaders in the field of flow and positive psychology research: optimal experience theoretical modeling (autotelism-Flow), as well as the social and conative dimensions of volition, in educational contexts.

A practising teacher training for over 20 years, Ph.D. in educational sciences, Jean Heutte is Senior Lecturer (MCF) full-time faculty position, at the Department of Educational and Adult Learning Science, and Researcher at Univ. Lille, EA 4354 - CIREL - Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche en Education de Lille, F-59000 Lille, France.

Jean is member of the Board of Directors of the French and Francophone Association for Positive Psychology/Association française et francophone de Psychologie Positive (AFfPP).

His research concern motivation, self-determination, self-efficacy, flow and psychological well-being in educational settings, specifically the nature of individually motivated collective functioning, notably the personal and collective conditions necessary for the emergence of well-being.

Expert for the French ministry since 2003 to 2013 (eg. IT & Internet Certificate/certificat informatique et internet - C2i), Jean was rapporteur of the groupe national de travail (GTN) ePortfolio (national working group ePortfolio) provided by the Digital Mission for Higher Education/Mission numérique pour l’enseignement supérieur (MINES), an initiative of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research/Ministère de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche (MESR).
